If you own one of the above games consoles and it is a UK PAL unit did you know know that the machine is running at 50hz! Japanese and American consoles run at 60hz. The advantage being

that the machines run 17.5% faster and you get no black borders at the top and bottom of the

screen that you see in many of the U.K PAL versions of the games.

We can convert various consoles to run at faster speeds which will also eliminate the borders seen in 50hz mode and give you a proper full screen display (if needed). Also if you own any of the above consoles we might be able to convert (if needed) the console to run USA & Japanese games which will then open up the door for you to the massive import library of software available from the U.S.A and Japan. Remember many games come out in these countries months before the European releases, and many games (animation titles for example) get released in the U.SA and Japan regions only.

SNES / Neo Geo Cd & Cartridge AES :

A switch can be fitted on the back of the SNES machine to enable the user to switch between 50hz & 60hz (when you flick to 60hz the machine speeds up and the borders disappear). Please also note for a further £25.00 a conversion can be done for the SNES to allow any country games to run without the need of a plug in converter. * Neo Geo cartridge & CD machines run all countries games as they are, they do not need a conversion to run all country games.

if you own a U.K text Neo Geo Cd machine, games like Samurai Showdown and King of Fighters 2000 wont display red blood like they do in the arcade. Don't worry, we can convert your machine so it will display Japanese text and then the games will show red blood as intended and not the censored versions. We also can fit D bug chips to the Neo Geo AES home cartridge machines, (we do not supply

the chips so you have to supply your own.) These can do various things like give you more options on screen like the MVS arcade cartridges do.

Another Neo Geo mod we do is to convert your machine (CD or AES) so the AV port at the back will push out a true RGB signal with stereo sound. Even though we sell plug in RGB scart leads these leads are Mono. With the internal mod, the new lead supplied will give you stereo sound as the RGB signal is now coming direct from the chip inside the machine. Also If you have a Neo Geo AES machine that is 60hz NTSC, you might want it converted to 50hz Pal ?(for example if you have a TV that does not have an RGB scart socket and does not except NTSC signal) - We can also do this.

Two switches can be fitted onto the back of the machine, one is for the user to switch between 50hz or 60hz and the other to switch from UK text to Japanese text, this text switch allows you then to play USA/Japanese or UK games on any Sega Megadrive machine (some later UK games though might require a plug in nitro adapter). UK & USA (called Genesis) Sega Megadrive games are the same size, but Japanese games are larger, so the UK & USA machines need the cartridge port widened to except the Japanese games (Japanese machines do not need the cart port widened). The Sega Handheld nomad needs a plug in bridge adapter to run Japanese games as the Sega Nomad was released in the U.S.A only (the cart port cannot be widened on a Sega Nomad).

If you own a Sony PS1 or Mini we can supply you with a boot disc that will allow you to play U.K, USA and UK games, no need for any internal conversion. If you play Japanese or American games they will run at 60hz full screen with no borders, UK games programmed at 50hz with borders though will still have them.

We can convert your Sega Dreamcast to run Japanese, USA & UK software with a simple modification inside the machine. This is guaranteed to run 95% of all software released.

We can also fit a 50/60hz switch for Japanese/USA owners. This is handy for some pieces of software like the UK passport disc, because when running at 60hz the text is not viewable at the top and bottom of the screen so you'll need to run this in 50hz mode to read everything correctly.

The Free loader disc from Datel allows you to play Japanese, USA and UK games on any country GC machine. We have the latest 2007 versions in stock.

RGB Conversions :

It is possible to add an RGB output to some games consoles if your machine does not have this function. Systems such as the N64 and PC Engine for example look much better when pushing out a true RGB signal using an RGB scart lead.

Super Famicom juniors / Minis have to be sent into us for a small internal modification prior to the lead being supplied, this costs in total (modification & lead) £34.99.

Nintendo 64 Rgb internal conversions for early Jap & USA machines is £39.99 (this is a ver 2 mod, best picture). Please note though that not all model Nintendo 64 machines can be modded to Rgb. We don't know which versions can be modded until we open them up. Please note that all the UK Pal model machines cannot be modded to Rgb. Also Please note The Nintendo 64 cannot be converted to run any countries games, you have to have an item such as a Passport plug in converter to run the import software for this machine.

Please note that most of the above game conversions will need an Rgb scart lead to display any U.SA or Japanese software in colour. Most of the above conversions to run all countries games do run 95% of all software from all countries (most conversions actually are 100%).  You may find that some conversions might not run certain pieces of software, and we cannot guarantee that any future software will work , so we only guarantee the % rate upto the day you have your machine converted.

Even though any conversions / repair work etc. is invoiced by us and you also send or bring anything into us to the address on our homepage most work is not carried out by us here on the premises, a third part company in the U.K undertakes all our work for us so we do not sell any spare parts or have any details on part numbers etc. See our
